           Advertising Conference or AdCon is a two-day conference that aims to broaden people’s knowledge on advertising and the career opportunities around it, and to reach out to the youth by showing them a glimpse of the advertising industry. It is targeted to senior high school and college students around the Metro who are interested in advertising but have little to no knowledge or exposure to the field. As UP AdCore believes that creativity is in everyone, AdCon 2017 challenges the idea of advertising being limited to certain people, and instead promote advertising as an inclusive field, with skills and knowledge that can be used across disciplines.
Now in its second year, UP AdCore Advertising Conference (AdCon) continues to be an avenue for college students with interest in advertising to explore their potentials in the broad world of advertising. With this year’s theme: AdVantage: Broadening Perspectives, AdCon 2017 aims to give attendees holistic glimpses of the advertising world that they can be a part of after they graduate and convince them that knowledge about advertising is useful in various career paths.
With the aim to make this year’s Advertising Conference bigger and better, AdCon will be a two-day event with three caravan sessions to be conducted prior the event. The specialized caravan sessions were held in different colleges including the College of Fine Arts (CFA), College of Mass Communication (CMC), and UP Integrated School (UPIS). Each caravan had talks and workshops tailored fit for each college’s specialization. The Advertising Conference’s main event will have two parts. The first part will focus on lectures from esteemed names from the advertising industry, while the second part will be an exposure trip with our partner ad agency to immerse the participants in the life and work in advertising.
AdCon 2017’s main event will be held on November 25, 2017 at the NIGS Auditorium, UP Diliman, Quezon City. Tickets are priced at 250Php.
