We are all still in shock when a few days back, YouTube superstar and The Voice alum Christina Grimmie was shot and killed by a deranged fan during her meet-and-greet after a concert at Plaza Live in Orlando, Florida.
Maroon 5’s lead singer, Adam Levine, who was Grimmie’s coach during her sting at The Voice, called Grimmie’s mom and offered to pay for the 22-year old’s funeral expenses.
This is according to Grimmie’s brother’s, Marcus, Facebook post.
On his post, he said:
I found out this morning, that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for the funeral and her plane flight, and I was blown away. Now a friend just told me to look at the gofundme page and I see it is at 100k. Words cannot express…literally I have no words.
Aside from Levine, Marcus said that the GoFundMe page set up by manager Brian Teefey is helping with funeral expenses in this difficult time. At the moment, donations have topped $100,000.
On Twitter, Levine shared the following photo saying how heartbroken he and his wife, Behati, were upon learning this tragedy.
