Lol, I don’t think it’s fair to compare Ababu to authentic Persian Kebabs in the UAE. Ababu is really just a very affordable hole in the wall that lots of college kids hang out at and enjoy because it is indeed very affordable to eat there. Don’t expect gourmet food here, just cheap food that’s way better than the price you paid for it.

I tried Ababu, but sorry to say, it’s the worst kebab & shawarma i’ve ever tasted. I tried it to know what’s the blah all abt, and ended up disappointed with their food and service. Kebab was too salty,lacks herbs, maybe coz they serve it with rice, and mrt’s shawarma’s better but both doesnt have hummous.

lived in UAE for a while and tasted authentic persian kebab and shawarma from resto called “Pars”, i almost fainted coz it’s so delicious… Sooooo different from ababu’s taste… So if anyone of you is in dxb or will be there, do look for “Pars” persian resto to know what Persian food is all abt…
