The National University – College of Computer Studies (NU-CCS), in partnership with the University of Cordillera – College of Information Technology and Computer Science (UC-CITCS), will hold its first Inter-University Computing Research Colloquium, dubbed as #iCoRe2018, with its theme “Harnessing Computing Research Initiatives for Sustainable Development Goals.” This will be held at the University of Cordilleras, Baguio City on February 14-15, 2018. As both NU-CCS and UC-CITCS were hailed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as Centers of Excellence (COE) in the Information Technology Education (ITE), we have initiated this activity in response to CMO No. 25 Series of 2015 requiring Capstone Projects for BSIT/BSIS and Theses for BSCS to be presented in a public forum.

This event aims undergraduate research outputs to be disseminated among the college’s various partner institutions and serve as a venue to showcase their strengths in research at the undergraduate level. Moreover, the colloquium will promote sharing of research outputs, best research practices, and collaborate with other institutions for possible research endeavors.

The Universities that will take part in the colloquium are 1.) National Univesity, Manila, 2.) University of Cordilleras, Baguio City, 3.) Asia Pacific College , Makati City, 4.) Unversity of San Carlos, Cebu City, 5.) Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, La Union, and 6.)  Bicol University, Legazpi City.

A total of 600 participants are expected to attend the activity with a minimal registration fee.
