The battle in Marawi is almost over.  Our armed forces have been fighting-stop against the terrorists Maute – ISIS in the past five months. 157 of them sacrificed their lives to liberate the city while some of these soldiers are severely wounded.

In Gava fundraising campaign organized by Journalist Krizette Chu entitled  “A Grateful Nation,” many Filipinos have been united to donate for these wounded soldiers who are recovering in hospitals.

Due to an overwhelming outpour of donations, the original plan to give P2,000to each hero was raised to P5,000 and P20,000 each for the critically wounded ones. Most of the recipients will be coming from AFP MEDICAL CENTER (V Luna), Army General Hospital and Manila Naval Hospital.

“Thank you, everyone. Kahit hindi malaking halaga, this little amount we give to 200 soldiers, plus the letters you have written for them, is a HUGE gesture to show our men and women who fought for us how loved and appreciated they are,” Krizette says.

To date, the donations raised reached almost P800,000 but our troops need more help from us. Give now and let’s send our love to the national heroes. Please click here to donate.
