A Cast Member of “Game of Thrones” is Joining “The Witcher”

Game of Thrones The Witcher

Do you miss Game of Thrones? You can wait for the second season of The Witcher, because an actor from GoT is joining The Witcher.

Kristofer Hivju, who played Tormund, will join the Netflix series as Nivellen.

Kristofer will join other new members of the cast, including Yasen Atour from Young Wallender as Coen, Agnes Bjorn as Vereena, Paul Bullion from Peaky Blinders as Lambert, Thue Ersted Rasmussen from Fast and Furious 9 as Eskel, Aisha Fabienne Ross from The Danish Girl as Lydia, and Mecia Simson as Francesca.

There’s no word what role Nivellen play in the series, but we hope it’s like Tormund. In Game of Thrones, Tormund is a wildling leader who started as an enemy to Jon Snow and the Night’s Watch, until he became an ally in the fight against the White Walkers.

The Witcher is based on a series of books by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. It follows the legend of Geralt of Rivia and princess Ciri, and is set in  a fictional, medieval-inspired landmass known as “the Continent.” It stars Henry Cavill as the titular role, and he is joined by Freya Allan, Eamon Farren, Anya Chalotra, and more.

The Witcher‘s second season will be available for streaming in 2021.
