The 19th General Assembly has been the most awaited event of the year for NFJPIAns which was held last September 18, 2016 at the El Grande Residencia Hotel and Resort, Lipa Batangas. With 2560 estimated attendees from different schools and universities around Region IV, the General Assembly started with the registration which was divided to participants, spectators, RPITP attendees and buyers of the R4 Merchandise. Registration started at the entrance of the El Grande Residencia Hotel and Resort gymnasium. Local Chapters were given their respective database where the names of their members together with their JPIA code were included. Each local chapter were asked to accomplish the given form and bring a master list of their delegates. The registration was finished on time and the event started on time.
The event started with a blast by an energetic opening by the masters of ceremony, Romer Jericho Encarnacion and Christopher John Busmente, who welcomed the participants with all their power. The two introduced the year’s theme The 19th General Assembly: BEATNIK, embodying the bohemian mood throughout the event. After welcoming the participants, house rules and general reminders were given by Romer and CJ followed by the doxology and the singing of the national anthem. It was followed by a message from the Region 4 President, John Michael Mujer and Region 4 Adviser, Mr. John Michael Lava also gave an inspiring speech for the adviser’s portion.  The Maalaala mo Kaya featured story of one of our own CPAs, Mr Gilbert C. Opena, and his inspiring story – from collecting scraps to becoming a CPA followed after the adviser’s portion. The MCs then announced the room assignments for each contest and the officers guided the participants in proceeding to their respective rooms.
The simultaneous activities and contests started at 9:30. The JPIAn Idol and the NFJPIA Best Dance Crew ft. Duo were held at the gymnasium while the Siniratura 3 was held at the function hall located near the gymnasium at the resort premises. The Siniratura 3 was composed of essay, short story slam poetry, poster making, slogan making and creative photography which were participated by over 20 local chapters from Region 4.
While other participants are busy watching the 2 competitions, the candidates for the Mr. and Ms. Ambassadors of Goodwill boost their intelligence in answering with poise and grace during the mock interview. A panel of five judges threw different questions to determine the candidate’s personality and advocacy in life. The 3 simultaneous events were indeed a success and were executed properly. Although the time was extended because of the massive number of participants, the organizers still managed to finish the performance of all participants. The unwavering support of each local chapter to their participants made the event an arena that showed the camaraderie and unity amongst them. The judges indeed had a hard time examining deciding who shall be hailed as the winners of the different non-academic competitions.
The participants were given 1 hour for lunch and then the event resumed at 1:00 pm. For the afternoon session, there is a simultaneous activity of the Lip Sync Battle and the Speak Up. The energy within the gymnasium is still as powerful as when it started and the spectators cheered with all their might to support their schoolmates. The Lip Sync battle was very entertaining and it showcased the talent and confidence of the JPIAns who participated.
Next to the tight battle of the Lip Sync Battle was the most awaited Primer for the Mr. and Ms. Ambassadors of Goodwill 2016. The pageant wardrobe was sponsored by Mr. Louis Pangilinan and Tshirt ni Juan for the opening act. It started with the Talent Competition of the candidates for the AOG where they unleashed their talent through dancing, singing, playing instruments and declamation of piece. 8 females and 5 males are vying for the title Mr. and Ms. Ambassadors of Goodwill 2016. After the talent portion the Fashion House Competition started while the candidates prepare for the next portion. It was a competition of the different provinces where they prepared a wardrobe that embodies the bohemian theme. The participants then proceeded to the runway and showcased their collections. The bohemian vibes is really present all throughout the modelling. Next to the Fashion house competition is the Casual Wear and Picture Interpretation which most of the candidates answered very well, short and precise for they are only given 10 seconds to interpret the photo and 30 seconds to answer the question. So far, the search for the Mr. and Ms. Ambassadors of Goodwill has been a great start.
The last part of the 19th General Assembly is the awarding and recognition. The certificates of recognition are given to each judges and guests and aside from the certificates; the guests also received a souvenir of the purong kapeng barako from Lipa, where the event was held. The total scores per event were tallied and the winners are as follows:

Before the event ends, the organizers had a raffle with Enchanted Kingdom powerbanks and Tumblers as prizes. The event ended with the participants singing the paragons and the prayer.
