On Tuesday, a 79-year-old Filipino-American was arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 on possession of a box of bullets.

According to the report on Radyo Inquirer, the Filipino-American was identified as Rufino Rondaris from Laoag, Ilocos Norte.

Apparently, the box contained 36 bullets.

Rondaris denied that he owned the box of bullets.

He said that if the box was his, they should have seen it in Los Angeles airport where he came from.

However, he cannot explain why he was carrying a box of bullets, according to the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).

Rondaris added that he is a retired serviceman of the United States Air Force (USAF). He also mentioned that he has been returning to the Philippines at least twice a year.

The PNP-Avsegroup said that Rondaris will stay under their custody pending the filing of charges against him.

What do you think of this incident? Is it another laglag-bala modus?
