6 Life Hacks to Get Free Stuff in the Metro

 

For the past month, Pumped Up Pranks has been roaming around Manila and filming. Even though we were broke and hungry, we managed to have fun and survive using these life hacks we learned ourselves.

1. Free Water

Thirsty on a hot day? Don’t wanna spend any money on a bottle of water? Or maybe you just finished jogging and don’t have anymore water left in your bottle? No worries! Most restaurants, especially the fancy ones, have got your back! Just go into a restaurant or a fast food chain and ask for a glass of water to quench your thirst.

Some even have water fountains where you can get the water yourself.

 

2. Free Iced Tea, Coffee, and WiFi

On some days, when I need to update my fan base when I’m out, Internet connection is my #1 problem. But I learned about something in some gambling areas in Ortigas: a place called Metro Card Club. Metro Card Club is the biggest card club in Manila and they give out free iced tea and coffee, as well as free WiFi for bystanders and players. Some gambling areas also offer free finger food and dinner! Plus, unlike in coffee shops or malls where you share the connection with a lot of people, people are too busy playing in gambling areas, so you can take advantage of faster WiFi!

 

3. Free Hair Wax, Hair Gel, Lotion, and Perfume

When I am in a rush, I usually forget to fix my hair and look really dumb on camera(which is sometimes helpful for some pranks, but not for all). When I’m going on a date, though, it gets really annoying when I realize how bad my hair looks when I’m already in the jeep. So, if this happens to you, do what I usually do. Go to the nearest Bench store, and go to their hair wax section. They usually have testers on the wax trays that you can use. Although they sometimes them from abusers, you can still ask for them personally. You will also see some perfume testers that you can use when you think you reek. You’re welcome 🙂

 

 

 

4. Free Food

 Supermarkets all over the Philippines offer free taste tests of food. Just make sure you don’t get caught abusing them 🙂

 

5. Free Workout

When we film in Quezon Memorial Circle, it’s normal to see people jogging around the area. I noticed that most of them go into the park after jogging, so I followed them around and it led me to the free Open Gym in Quezon Memorial Park. So, if you live in Quezon City and are on a budget but still want to get fit, you should check this place out!

 

6. Free Party

Guestlist.ph offers free entrance and free drinks for all of the major clubs in the Metro (Republiq, Privé, Haze, Aracama, Imperial Ice Bar,Palladium, Time, and so much more…), so you don’t have to pay an expensive entrance fee on clubs. All you need to do is download the app in your Android phone or iPhone, sign up for events, and voila! You’re in!
