5. It feels like a whole different world.
When compared to the Philippines, Singapore is definitely a very different city in various aspects. however, when you step into Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay, it feels even more different. I don’t know how to explain it, but the mix of different nationalities in a very Christmas-filled ambience with a distinct European vibe makes you feel like you were able to afford a trip to Europe, even though Singapore is a much shorter and much more convenient travel time away.
The Christmas Toyland flower display in the Floral Dome of Gardens by the Bay is filled with red and white flowers during this time of the year along with an 11-metre tall Christmas pyramid decked with toys and a multi-tiered traditional German carousel that transforms into a live stage with various festive performances never before seen in the Flower Dome.
4. There are fun activities for young and old.
There is a lot to do at Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay, in general. For starters, there is the Festive Market and other food establishments where people can eat, chill and talk over beer and/or wine as they marvel at the lights and the overall beauty of the Gardens at this time.
However, kids and kids-at-heart will also be able to enjoy the Ice Palace where an entire ice skating rink was brought in along with a small room filled with snow for kids to have snowball fights in.
There is also a Carousel for everyone to enjoy, as well as various fun gaming booths where you can try to win prizes for yourself or your loved ones!
They’re harder than they look, though. So, in case you don’t win anything, head back to the Festive Market and go shopping instead. They’ve got pens, scents and even sock toys that people of all ages are sure to love.
The entire family will enjoy this awesome AIA TrickArt, too. I’ve never seen this kind of coolness in the Philippines yet, but I would love to. Look! Look!
What they do, basically, is help you pose on the floor and then your photo will be taken through the mirror! So cool! And, oh, you can also enjoy snow in the tropics with the Nightly Blizzard Time and pretty Christmas parades!
