The Philippines is influenced by different countries and it surely can be traced through our food. With the rising number of siomai and siopao stalls in the Philippines, it is obvious that the Chinese influence is running strong. Aside from those, some more Chinese food we Filipinos usually love are taho, pancit, and lumpia. Although there are some that can only be found in authentic Chinese Restaurants.
Honestly, we still have a hangover from the Chinese New Year. So if you do too, and are constantly craving awesome Chinese food, here are some that you have to try!
King Chef
With their growing business, King Chef now has three branches in total: two in Banawe and one in Binondo, where the brand originated. It was recently ranked as the yummiest restaurant in Binondo by GMA 7’s TV show, Ang Pinaka.
Aside from dumplings, King Chef offers the King Chef Barkada Rice Bucket which has Pork Asado, Soyed Chicken, Braised Pork, and Rice.
Lugang Cafe
If you like Xiao Long Bao, then you have to try Lugang. They specialize on those cute little dimsums! Although that’s not the only food they are good at. Their Sanbeiji or the Three Cup Chicken is also worth the try. They also have the occasional eat-all-you-can promos, so watch out for those!
Tsay Cheng
If you are in Cebu, the Chinese Restaurant that you have to try is Tsay Cheng at The Grand Convention. You can’t miss out on the Pata Tim served with super yummy Chinese bread.
Kanzhu Hand-Pulled Noodles
It’s hard to find fresh noodles, but Kanzhu makes them by order. It adds a distinct taste to your noodles which you can have fried, steamed, or stir-fried.
Wai Ying Fast Food
One of the oldest Chinese Restaurants that we love is Wai Ying. It’s a traditional Chinese fast food resto that offers dimsum and rice meals at very reasonable prices.
