4th Impact Eliminated From X Factor UK

It’s the end of the journey for Filipino group 4th Impact, as  they are the ninth contestant to be eliminated from X Factor UK.’

During the results of this week’s show, the group was placed at the bottom two with contestant Lauren Murray. This was due in part to low public votes.

The group sang the Dreamgirls song “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going.”

Judges praised the all-girl group for their performance, but Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw chose to send 4th Impact home, while Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Simon Cowell chose Murray for elimination. Because of this “dead lock,” the decision would rely on who got the fewer number of public votes.

When they were eliminated, one of the sisters said, “We just want to thank the British public. The fact that we’re on this stage, this is already a prize for us. Even if we are Filipinos, you guys accepted us and welcomed us in your hearts. That’s unforgettable. Thank you so much.”

Their mentor, Fernandez-Versini said, “I’m sad but I’m happy that they went out on this weekend of all weekends because for me, last night, they were phenomenal. They sang for the first time a ballad last night.

But tonight, the passion in their performance, the hunger to stay was so apparent.”

After the show, Celina, one of the sisters, collapsed, but was quickly assisted by paramedics and is recovering.
