The fast-paced lifestyle in the Metro keeps everyone tired and stressed. The smoke is everywhere, people often eat out and have no time to actually exercise due to busy schedules. More often than not, we  put our health on the sidelines.

Fortunately, we don’t have to worry about that anymore. Nurture Wellness Village shared their expertise and helped us prepare detox juices that we can bring anywhere we go! These Nurture health juices directly target specific organs that need purifying, like the liver. With the right ingredients, we can make them at home. We can even host a detox party to make them more enjoyable!

Here are 4 easy-to-do recipes we can use for a daily detox:

Juice for the Kidneys 

This is a lemon or calamansi with parsley juice that targets the kidneys, perfect for those who like salty foods. Since salt binds with water, more water is retained in the body. Parsley, on the other hand, is a diurectic, which helps reduce water retention and helps eliminate excess fluid in the body. Parsley also cleanses the kidney and prevents the formation of kidney stones. It also flushes out toxins and waste in the kidney. The calamansi has a component that regulates the protein that can cause kidney cysts.

Ingredients:

5pcs. Parsley (with roots)

½ Lemon (sliced) or 5pcs. Calamansi

1-2 tbsp. Honey

3-4 pcs. Ice cubes

½ glass of water

Procedure:

Just mix all of the ingredients together, including the ice cubes and water. Pour honey if you want a sweet taste, but you can opt to go without it if you want to experience its full effect. Blend it all together for 2 minutes. Serve.

This is good for 1 serving. Drink at least 4-6 times a day for at least one week.

Juice for the Liver

Do you love your liver? This is the juice is for you! It’s’ made up of lemon,apple, carrots and kale. This targets the liver and flushes out waste and toxins. Do you always take meds? Or do you always drink alcohol? Juice for the liver is your best buddy!

Lemon is a good source of citric acid that cleanses the liver and liquifies bile. Apple contains malic acid that maintains the liver’s healthy condition and reduces the likelihood of cancer, cardiovascular disease and asthma. Carrots also have antioxidants that eliminate destructive free radicals that attack healthy cells. Kale is a good source of calcium, protein, iron, as well as vitamins A, C and D.

Ingredients:

50 g Apple (diced)

50 g Carrots (sliced)

2-3 leaves Kale

1/2 glass of water

3-4 ice cubes

Procedure:

This juice can help us prevent cancerous diseases with the help of its components. This also works as an antioxidant to help you retain a youthful glow.

Pineapples have an enzyme that prevents and fights cancer cells. It also decreases the effect of radiation therapy. Cucumbers have phytonutrients that fight cancerous cells, while carrots boost the immune system and are good for the skin. Kale, on the other hand, is a good source of calcium, protein, iron and vitamins.

Ingredients:

100 g Pineapple sliced

1 Orange

50 g Cucumber

2-3 leaves Kale

50 g Carrots

Just mix the pineapples, oranges, cucumbers, carrots and kale, ½ glass of water, and 3 to 4 pieces of ice cubes together. Do not apply any sweetener, and blend everything together for 2 minutes.Serve.

100 g Pineapple (sliced)

50 g Apple (sliced)

50 g Banana

2-3 leaves Basil

2-3 leaves Kale

1-2 tbsp. Honey

Procedure:

Just mix all of the ingredients together with the 1/2 glass of water and ice cubes. Blend everything together for 2 minutes. Serve.
