31 Years of Bringing Light to Service

UP TFA Week 2017 MAIN PUB

Martial law has once again been a recurring issue in our country. In one of the darkest parts of our history, the source of light has been a challenge posed by society.

Thirty-one years ago, the housing situation of the Philippines has inspired eight architecture students to establish an organization that will “uplift the worsening urban housing situation of the time.” This objective has been passed on to generations of students with a heart for selfless service.

This year, the University of the Philippines Task Force Arki brings you lights and color in service. Watch out for our events this September 26-30.

September 26: Premiere – Get to know the organization through an exhibit of various movie posters featuring our past and present projects.

September 27: Booked: A UP TFA Talk – Entitled “NO BARRIERS: Shared Architecture, Shared Knowledge,” public architecture will shine as a guide to accessible education.

September 28: Dine: Community Pakain

September 29: Now Sewing: Halina’tMaglikha 7.0: Lakbayan 2017 – This year, UP TFA, with the children from Lakbayan 2017, will discover what are their goals in life through rag dolls.

September 30: Lit! – As a culminating activity, the current members and its alumni will get together for a night of food, drinks, and stories.

Join us as we celebrate 31 years of bringing light to service.
