4 Desserts You Shouldn’t Miss From Catherine’s Cake and Pies
Back in the day, when I was still a huge Twilight-crazed fan, I followed every movie that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner did. I remember in one of RPatz’s movie, Remember Me, Ally, the lead actress told Pattinson’s character, Tyler, over dinner that she always always orders dessert first because according to her “if ever something bad happens, at least I got to have the best part of the meal.” Like Ally, I’m a huge fan of sweets and just recently, I came across a haven of desserts that tempts me to eat my dessert first just like Ally did instead of saving it for last like I usually do.
Catherine’s Cakes and Pies is an online haven of desserts that will leave people drooling all over the floor after just one bite. Baklava
Though I’m a huge dessert lover, I have never gotten the chance to road test different Baklavas before. Although I’m not quite familiar with this particular dessert, I am familiar with drool-worthy desserts, and trust me: this is one of them. What I loved about Catherine’s Cakes and Pies’ Baklava the most is how the crust of the dessert is very crispy and flaky while the inside is overloading with nutty goodness!
Although this dessert wouldn’t sit well with people who are not fans of nuts, this would be the perfect dessert for all the nut lovers out there. I don’t think that anyone in their right mind could hate this dessert.
Chocolate Cheesecake
Chocolate and cheesecake rolled into one? Pure genius! Catherine’s Cakes and Pies hit the jackpot with this cake. Their chocolate cheesecake has the perfect creaminess of a normal cheesecake with just the right amount of chocolate and cherry brandy to spike things up—literally!
Although this cake is heaven-sent for me, my favorite part has got to be munching on this baby’s crust. It’s just to die for!
Sugar-free Cheesecake
I cannot stress how much I love gobbling up cheesecake. I remember back when my mom used to bake these babies, I would eat up the whole pan – to hell with calories! Now that I’m much older, though, I can no longer do that. Thank God for Catherine’s Cakes and Pies’ sugar free cheesecake! Since this dessert is sugar-free, I can gobble up these babies with no care at all. This cake is hands down the creamiest cheesecake I have tried. I especially loved the cheese shavings that topped it.
Walnut Pie
Apart from sweets, I enjoyed eating nuts as a kid, as well. So, imagine when I found out that Catherine’s Cakes and Pies bakes walnut pies! This is the first time that I have tried a walnut pie and it didn’t let me down. See, all my life, the only pies that I have enjoyed eating have been apple pies, buko pies, and Jollibee’s peach mango pies. Catherine’s Cakes and Pies’ Walnut Pie is absolutely delicious! The crust is baked to perfection, the walnuts are amazing, and who knew that cheese and walnuts would go well together? Apparently, Chito, the man behind all these amazing pastries, did!
So, if you’re a dessert lover or even if you aren’t, let Catherine’s Cakes and Pies change the way you look at desserts with their to die for pastries!
