When In Manila, and you’re looking for a unique type of dining experience, then you need to check out “Twenty One Plates” restaurant!
Twenty One Plates is a place that gives you 21 reasons to come back over, and over, and over again, til you try every one of their 21 dishes. The whole concept of Twenty One Plates is to serve you 21 specialized dishes to your liking!
Now you may be thinking that this is a small menu selection, but believe me, 21 was already waaaaay too much for me to choose from! Each one of the 21 dishes served here is in a world of it’s own and though I tried my best to sample everything on the menu, I think I was only able to try about a dozen yummy dishes (I was incapable of walking or speaking for 3 hours after this orgasmic food tasting session).
Anyway, here’s just a FEW of the 21 reasons you should come try the food at Twenty One Plates Restaurant by the BF Homes area, South of Manila:

Twenty One Plates – Plate # 1
Kimchi Rolls – 200 Php
This 8-piece beef bulgogi and sushi rice rolls wrapped in kimchi was formerly on the starters menu but is now on the main menu because it can be a satisfying meal on its own.
Also, this Twenty One Plates Original deserves the top spot on a short list of 21. Serves one as a main meal or 2 to 4 as a starter.

Jose’s Taco Pasta – 260 Php
Discovered by a hungry man who couldn’t wait for the sauce to finish cooking. Ground beef, fresh tomato salsa, jalapeno-cheese sauce and nachos cascade down to some angel hair pasta and lettuce.

Twenty One Plates – Plate # 10
Laing Lasagna – 290 Php
Laing goes in between lasagna sheets for an interesting dish. Topped with mozzarella and grated Parmesan.
(***Laing is is a Filipino dish native to Bicol. It is a spicy and creamy dish of taro leaves)

Korean Beef Stew – 295 Php
Beef short ribs marinated, seared and slow-cooked in a flavorful soy and sugar mix. Guaranteed love at first bite. Served with steamed white rice. Serves one hearty eater.

Bo’s Kaldereta – 295 Php
The only Kaldereta we know that is slow-cooked in coconut milk. Happiness has a new name. Serves one happy eater.
(***Kaldereta is a dish popular in the Philippines, especially. Its common ingredients are cuts of pork, beef or goat with tomato paste or tomato sauce with liver spread added to it)

When In Manila, you need to come and try as many plates from “Twenty One Plates” restaurant in the BF Homes area, south of Manila. Bring a big appetite and lots of smiles to this home /restaurant. I do recommend you try the Laing Lasagna and the Korean Beef Stew! I highly recommend this place if you’re going on a date or if you want a home-style restaurant feel to have some intimate / fun chat sessions with friends or family.
