Some people think that every summer is just like the last since you hang out with the same people and sometimes even go to the same places. That doesn’t mean that the things that you bring with you on your summer trips need to be the exact same things, though. In fact, with so many cool things popping up left and right nowadays, my summer arsenal looks completely different this year than it did last year. Here are some of the things that I consider to be summer must-haves at the moment:

14. An Inflatable Couch
One of the coolest things to own this summer is an inflatable couch. Not only is it easy to carry around and inflate, but you can use it both on land and in water. Plus, several people can chill in one, so your loved ones can enjoy the comfy experience with you!
13. A Cute Floatie
If you plan on lounging in a pool this summer, then a cute floatie is a cute thing to have in your summer arsenal. Imagine floating around in a unicorn floatie like this all summer long. You’ll get some cute photos out of it, too!
12. A Cool Printed Beach Towel
If you’re gonna lie or sit in the sand, why not do so on a cool printed towel/blanket?
11. A Portable Fan

As much fun as the sun can be in the summer, it can sometimes get a bit too hot. Instead of running indoors into an air-conditioned room, though, try getting a small portable fan. There are some nowadays that you can just connect to your phone! Ah, the convenience of modern technology.
10. A Waterproof Case or Bag for Your Phone
If you plan on doing watersports or just spending time near the water this summer, make sure you keep your phone safe by providing it with a waterproof case. If you can’t afford one, you can always buy a waterproof bag for it at the beach. They usually cost less than 100 pesos and do the job well… as long as you don’t completely submerge your phone in water for long periods of time. We haven’t tried doing that yet coz: pruning! :p
9. A Camera
Of course, don’t forget your trusty camera to capture all of those memories!
8. A Tripod and/or Monopod
No matter where you go this summer, there is never any guarantee that you will find people willing to take photos for you. Sometimes, you might simply be too shy to ask someone to take some for you. That’s where a tripod and a monopod come in handy. Just set your camera or phone on timer and take as many photos as you want without inconveniencing anybody!
7. A Drawstring Bag
Some people that I know think that drawstring bags are overrated, but I find them to be the most convenient way to lug around things on the beach.
6. A Waterproof Bag
If you plan on spending most of your time on boats, then you might want to invest in a waterproof bag, especially if you plan on bringing a lot of expensive gadgets with you. Better safe than sorry!
5. Comfy Footwear
Comfortable shoes are a must if you plan on walking a lot this summer. Bonus points if you can find a pair with a fun and iconic style. I particularly love the Skechers Go Flex Sandals right now because of how flexible it is. Plus, it’s ultralight, super durable and extremely comfortable. The splash of color provides a nice touch, too.
5. Unique Swimwear
With the summer comes great swimwear and thanks to the World Wide Web, it has become extremely easy to find unique and creative designs that will really make heads turn wherever you go this summer!
3. An Inflatable Swimming Pool
Don’t have a swimming pool at home? Don’t have any plans of going to the beach? Buy an inflatable swimming pool and lounge in it in your backyard, garden or even your garage. Just find one that suits the space that you have and the amount of people you want to invite into it. I have the Jilong Pool and my little family is very happy with it. 🙂
2. Sunglasses
Stock up on different sunglasses! Why? Because they will come in handy all year round and not just during the summer!
1. Sunblock
Naturally, the most important thing on this list would be sunblock! There’s nothing wrong with getting darker during the summer, but it’s definitely important to avoid skin cancer!
