The fashion industry, once unforgivingly strict with their set standards of beauty, has opened up little by little. These days, we recognize that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and different packages and so has the industry. In no particular order, here are our favourite transexual models:

Lea was discovered by Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci. She is the current face of Redken and a transgender advocate.
9. Andreja Pejic
Formerly Andrej Pejic, this Serbian model has been making waves in the fashion industry as an androgynous model even before her transition to womanhood. This May, she will be featured by Vogue– their very first feature on a transgender model.
8. Geena Rocero
After coming out on a TED Talk, successful Filipina model and transgender advocate Geena Rocero founded Gender Proud, an aid organization fighting for the rights of transgenders.
7. Ines Rau
This successful 24 year old model has posed alongside the likes of Tyson Beckford. Steamy!
6. Jenna Talackova
Jenna is a Canadian model who in 2012 sued Miss Universe for disqualifying her because of being transgender. She was eventually allowed to compete in the beauty pageant & continued on to become one of the Top 12. She was also Miss Congeniality.
